Paint Metal Trailer Looking For Eco-Creative Ways To Cool Down A Black Metal Trailer/mobile Home Roof.?

Looking for Eco-Creative ways to cool down a black metal trailer/mobile home roof.? - paint metal trailer

I do a complete redesign, and gut in a caravan. Try using only the materials used and undesirable (you know, reduce and reuse / recycling of the affair). I am half way, and some limits do not yet. Today, 80 degrees (the sun) and rooms without ceiling was was 100 degrees. Of course, the ceilings need to make the attic vents, but I need to cool the metal, now at work ... sure.

I thought that with tarps, silver in this part of the UN-sections of the roof panel and white, while only white color. This node, which collects the water from the roof of my garden, and finally, for personal use.

Replacement of the sheet of black corrugated metal target, it would be better, but it has some innovative materials, the countries that might ... at least for the moment, if not permanently.

Ideas?

Go to Wal-Mart and buy a rubber roof. It is a very good product. This is not expensive and extend the life of your roof and the effect of the sun. Even as a new means for the roofs of all metal roofs. We have done this in many metal roofs and is guaranteed for 20 years and it works! It pays to buy the money not for a long time.

For temporary cooling with a water hose on the roof, with water coming into the garden. Temp roof is near the wet bulb temperature of outside air. To establish standing to by both fiberglass insulation as possible between the roof and the ceiling - at least a foot.

The color is white. No need to get more color metal, is by far the cheapest for the same effect

Isolate take the roof edge metal foam in the bottom of things. There are soy-foam is is difficult to achieve, if you feel uncomfortable in styrofoam.

Evacuate windward side of the device or the gable roof vents the hot air

If I were you I would try to put some rubber to be found to isolate the heat. Yes, to alleviate the white metal, but it is a pilot project. What you need to do is maybe get a couple of recycled tires and see if you can. Moreover, I strongly recommend caulking around the caravan. This will be your best friend if you want to fight against the elements.

When I was a student, I spent a summer working in the fields of oil and an oil-worker invited me to become his followers to his wife and children. It was simply a respectable level, but as with all supporters, was a tin roof. Furthermore, no air conditioning and the woman complained about how the heat became unbearable and suffocating reality.

I wondered if your water bill by the faucet or actions. It was proposed to tap a diffuser set on the roof. He did just that, and the temperature cools down very quickly.

Of course I said if I should be so for a long time, he put in the water line a pair of carbon filters, and perhaps, occasionally wipe the top with vinegar. He also recommended that stood on the roof in burlap to keep the water until it evaporates, so they need less water on the roof cool, especially if the screen can be easily disposed of calcification.

John W talks about the heat of vaporization "latent that uses the theory behind" swamp cooler in the southwestern desert, rather than air conditioners. The process of evaporation removes heat from the air.

Here in the south of the thing, I can see is just a man to whom many tip of a fan. Set the fan to blow the mist on the roof (take more than a fan and a gentleman can). This works the same way that John Watts says, but they are less water.
